Dear Dr. Ilter and Ásdís,

I would like to start by thanking you for everything you have done for me.

I am a man aged 27 who felt embarrassed about the high patches of baldness on either side of my head that I inherited from my father. My hairline started to recede at an early age. When I came to you for a consultation and was introduced to the FUT/Strip and FUE Ilter methods, it was easy to decide which one was right for me. FUE was the obvious choice.

But the real confidence and respect I gained for the Ilter Clinic was after my consultation, when Dr. Ilter said, "You are very young, my lad. Go home and come back in a couple of years and we can discuss it again." But when I explained how long I had these patches and the several years I had suffered because of them, they allowed me to make a booking. I had also read a lot about hair transplantation, so they realized that this was no impulse decision on my part. I knew what I wanted and I could tell that this was also important to Dr. Ilter.

My contact with the Ilter Clinic by email in the period before my operation was very helpful. They answered all my questions in a number of emails. I felt very welcome at the clinic and it had a very nice atmosphere. It was a mixture between a clinic and a pleasant home environment. It was very cozy.

When I finally arrived at the clinic on the day of my FUE IM operation, we carefully went through what would happen over the two days. I was included in all the procedures and could see what was happening as they described the work they were doing step by step. I felt very safe and I had full confidence in Dr. Ilter.

I dozed off now and again as I listened to relaxing music and woke up to a soft voice asking if I wanted anything. They were very down-to-Earth people.

Something quite unexpected happened to me after the first operation day. After a long day and all the excitement before the operation, I ran out of petrol on the way home. I couldn’t believe it. All I wanted was to get home and rest.

I had been given Dr. Ilter’s telephone number if anything happened during the night. Yes, you could say something had happened. After just 10 minutes, there stood Ilter and Ásdís at the roadside with five liters of petrol. What can I say? I felt I was not only a patient, but also a friend of these two fantastic people.

I felt very well cared for and would be hard pressed to find more professional people. You have taken care of me since I first met you and the substantial follow up after the operation has been thorough and has helped me feel secure in my decision.

I want to thank you for all you have done and for helping me find this particular method, FUE. It is quite outstanding and superior to all other methods of hair transplantation. You have turned my life into something very positive with this investment.
