Anders: FUE improved my quality of live

I want to start by thanking all the fantastic people who were with me over these two days.

Since the age of four, I have had a burn injury on a large part of the left side of my head that caused bald patches. They troubled me a lot because they did not look natural. Now at the age of 26, I have decided to really do something about it. Finding the right method was no problem. The FUE method is superior to all other methods and I confirmed this after a lot of research. Finding a genuine, professional clinic was the most important thing. I was in touch with several but decided on the Ilter Clinic very much because I noticed in my dealings with them that they knew their job.

Anyway, the time came for the operation. At 8 a.m. on a Saturday, the first person I meet is Dr. Ilter with a warm welcome and a wide smile. He wonders how I am feeling and I tell him that I have looked forward to this for a long time. Dr. Ilter tells me what we will be doing over these days and we slowly get started. The assistants were all very cheerful. Relaxing and feeling secure and at home is no problem when you can get up, drink, watch a film or whatever you want, whenever you want.

The operation itself was painless because the treatment areas were numbed. When Dr. Ilter finished taking out the transplants, it was time to put them in place. This was also completely painless. Four films and one lunch later the first day was over. We took pictures to document my procedure and I was given some painkillers to take with me and some sleeping pills for just in case. I was able to sleep without difficulty and I did not need the sleeping pills, thank goodness.

The second day started as pleasantly as the first. It would be a shorter day but in the end it took almost as long as the first, but only because they wanted to achieve the optimum result for me. I participated during the entire treatment, deciding where I wanted the transplants to go. It felt good to be included while the treatment was going on.

When the treatment was over I felt great relief because I was hoping the FUE IM treatment would strengthen my self-confidence and I will be able to let go off the bad feelings about my bald patches, which had weighed heavily on me through my teenage years and until now.

I want to thank everyone who was with me, Dr. Ilter and his team. You made me feel at home and relaxed. It is a difficult combination to be friendly, warm and at the same time as professional as you are, but you have achieved it 100%. I am sure my quality of life will improve and that is thanks to YOU!
