How much is enough for a hair transplant?
The number of grafts required in a hair transplant varies from case-to-case. This is because people have different goals and varying degrees of hair loss. In addition, factors such as the thickness and color of your hair also play a role in the decision.

The cost of a hair transplant
The estimated price per graft is SEK 56 (see FOREX for an up-to-date exchange rate). The total price depends on the total number of grafts to be transplanted. Take a look at the estimates below.

Although we are Europes most experienced clinic in the FUE, we have the lowest rates in Sweden with this technique (FUE).

The minimum objective is to position the grafts in client’s recipient area so that he or she regains a natural symmetry and proportion, which in turn leads to a natural and undetectable outcome.

It is important to remember that the donor hair supply (i.e., the hairs on the sides and back of your head) is not an unlimited source of grafts. This calls for a first-class hair surgeon to recognize the limitations and make the most of the supply. Nevertheless, clients with a higher rating on the Norwood or Ludwig scale may have sacrifice some density to receive maximum coverage or simply choose not to fill in certain areas for a denser look elsewhere.

Based on the experience the Ilter Clinic has gained from performing over 1000 FUE IM procedures, the following estimates may be used as a guide.
 
Norwood Scale (Men)

Norwood 1: No operation necessary.
Norwood 2: No operation acutely necessary, 500 to 800 grafts may be transplanted if symmetry is problematic.
Norwood 2a: 500 to 800 grafts to fix the centre or correct proportions.
Norwood 3: 800 to 1000 grafts for the front and temples.
Norwood 3a: 1300 to 1600 grafts at the front.
Norwood 4: 1900 to 2500 grafts in total (1100 to 1400 at the front and 800 to 1100 for the crown).
Norwood 4a: 1700 to 2500+ at the front.
Norwood 5: 2500 to 3200 grafts in total (1500 to 1700 at the front and 1000 to 1500 for the crown).
Norwood 5a: 2500 to 3200+ grafts.
Norwood 6: 3200 to 4200+ grafts (1700 to 2500 at the front and 1500 to 1700 for the crown).
Norwood 7: 2500 to 3000+ grafts to rebuild the front.
