Alternative treatments
Hair transplantation is considered the best long-term solution for people suffering from hair loss. The Ilter Clinic recommends Finasterid and not Rogaine in combination with a hair transplantation to slow down any further hair loss. However if you do not feel ready for a procedure just yet, there are a couple of alternative solutions you might like to try:
Rogaine
Rogaine is a liquid topical lotion or foam that is dropped or sprayed on the scalp once or twice a day. In the best-case scenario, existing hairs are strengthened while thin hair or a fuzzy down may start to grow. If the treatment is discontinued the hair reverts to its initial state after about four months. Rogaine is available for both men and women. Read more about Rogaine
Propecia
Propecia is a pharmaceutical preparation administered in tablet form (the active ingredient is finasteride) to be taken once daily. About 50 percent of men using propecia report a slowing down of hair loss. At a dosage of 1 mg per day, the preparation reduces the conversion of testosterone to DHT by 80%. If treatment is discontinued, the hair reverts to its initial state after about six months. Propecia is for men only. Read more about Propecia

With a hair transplantation operation scheduled in Stockholm, Sweden on April 20th, he had to find a quick solution for the problem. Not being a person to sit around and wait as airports continued to close all over Europe, he decided to drive to his patient.
The 3.850 km. drive accross Europe took him two and a half days to complete. But he made it to Stockholm on the day of the scheduled operation. If you want to read the whole story of this dash accross Europe, a blog is posted here
